Legacy is a therapist-driven provider of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech/language pathology, and wellness services. We are committed to creating a dynamic experience of clinical learning and support for our therapists in order to provide premium care.

PHYSICAL THERAPY

Our physical therapists provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, & prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. We focus on ambulation & mobility. Our exercises are performed in conjunction with the use of various modalities to help you reach your goals.

Our physical therapists and their assistants offer specialized care for:

  • Difficulty walking or muscular weakness
  • Problems with balance and coordination (cane or walker recommendations)
  • Decreased body movement
  • Limited joint motions
  • Stroke recovery

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Our occupational therapists help individuals to improve their ability to perform tasks of daily living. Our innovative treatments are designed to develop, recover, and/or maintain your daily living skills. Our overall goal is to enable you to lead a more independent, productive, & satisfying life.

Our occupational therapists and their assistants offer specialized care for:

  • Selfcare: eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene
  • Functional mobility & body mechanics: bed, wheelchair, tub, car, etc.
  • Continence management
  • Home management: cooking, housekeeping, laundry, shopping
  • Activities to restore upper extremity strength, gross & fine coordination, hand function
  • Upper extremity orthotics & splints
  • Work simplification, energy conservation, joint protection techniques
  • Perceptual & cognitive skills
  • Adaptive equipment for self-care, home management, mobility, recreation

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY

Our speech-language pathologists assess, diagnose, treat, & help prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, swallowing, & fluency. Both individual and group speech therapy is available to address your specific treatment needs.

Our speech-language pathologists offer specialized care for:

  • Speech disorders resulting from progressive neurological diseases
  • Deficits in thought processing, language, and/or difficulty speaking
  • Aphasia: a language disorder resulting from a stroke in the left hemisphere of the brain
  • Dysarthria: weakness of the oral musculature, causing various degrees of slurring of speech
  • Dysphagia: difficulty in eating due to swallowing deficits
